THERE IS A LIGHT THAT NEVER GOES OUT, 2012

Solo exhibition, Vienna

In collaboration with the Geyling Glass Workshop in Vienna I had the opportunity to study the traditional techniques associated with glass. As a result, I created my solo exhibition, "There's a Light That Never Goes Out".

The title piece was a light installation, reminiscent of Gothic rose windows, that consists of a strong light source (reflector) and coloured glass shards. The interaction of these elements projected a wheel of colour onto the white wall. The use of colour, light, and shadow, instead of graphic solutions (typical of my previous work) appeared here first in a form of an installation.

The other important work exhibited here is the glass painting : “Not fade away (Lux mirabilis et continuia…)”, which I have completed in the manner of gothic stained glass windows, with a sujet inspired by autobiographical events; (me in sunglasses).
