“I was born in the month of the Leo (at dawn), originate from a peasant family, grew up during the Kádár regime in Hungary; I am preoccupied with figuring out about identity -above all gender identity- I have the heart of a king and the soul of an angel.”
This digitally compiled family tree I submitted successfully to an open call in Budapest, which had a focus on the subjectivity of history. The separate images - containing some of my older drawings, collages or even family photos - are meant to be interpreted both separately and in relation to one another after the synopsis quoted above. The only objective history is hence the mere historical fact, but would it satisfy us without personal interpretation? Here I was illustrating my dissenting answer in the most subjective way.
